1. Arrive ALGHERO:
explore this Spanish city on the Coral Riviera
Evening: collect cycles and briefing.

2. ALGHERO - ALGHERO 28/36ml(45/58km)
Ride along the narrow streets of Alghero, the splendid Aragonese
(Spanish) city on the Coral Riviera, where locals still speak
the ancient Catalan dialect. Cycle to Capo Caccia and explore
the Nettuno caves.

3. ALGHERO - BOSA 31ml(50km)
Cycle by coastal cliffs and through green meadows to the Appiu
Nuraghe, an ancient monument from the beginning of Sardinian civilisation.
Continue to Bosa, a medieval town famous for its fine embroidery.

4. BOSA - SANTU LUSSURGIU 34ml(54km)
Enjoy
the morning exploring Bosa or relax on the beach. In the afternoon
travel inland through Flussio and Tinnura where the women still
weave their wicker baskets. The scenic road through the village
of Sagamo leads to the spring of San Leonardo, the perfect place

leading to the village of Santulussurgiu.

Today return to the sea with an exciting descent to the flat coastal
plains of the Sinis wetlands. Pass colonies of the pink flamingo
to reach one of the most beautiful spots on the island, the white
quartz beach of Is Arutas. A charming country hotel is your final
stop for the night.

Visit the fascinating Phoenician ruins of Tharros and the
early Christian church of San Giovanni. Relax at
the beach and sample a glass of vernaccia, the local dry white
wine.

7. SAN SALVATORE SINIS - ARBUS 29ml(46km)
Transfer
to Arborea and cycle through the natural beauty spots of the Costa
Verde. Continue to reach Piscinas beach with its 50 metre high
sand dunes.

Return to the ancient mining past of Sardinia at the fascinating
abandoned mines of Ingortosu and Planusartu. After the golden
beach of Portixeddu and looming mass of Pan di Zucchero cliff,
visit the old ore washery at Nebida.

After a beautiful descent to Fontanamare, reach Porto Scuso and
the ferry to the island of Carloforte. From Carloforte, continue
