Day 1. Arrive SOUILLAC: collect cycles and  equipment,  route briefing and instruction. Explore this interesting town and perhaps visit the delightful Romanesque Abbey Church.

RomcamadourDay 2. SOUILLAC - ROCAMADOUR 20ml(32km)

Your first days cycling takes you from Souillac up onto the Gramat Causse, and France’s second most visited tourist site, Rocamadour. Along the way you can visit the grottes at Lacave and stop off at wonderful little villages such as St.Sozy and Meyronne. Rocamadour is stunning, particularly significant as an ancient pilgrimage site. Take time to explore the near-vertical village that clings to the cliff-face overlooking the Ouysse valley.

Day 3. ROCAMADOUR CIRCULAR TOUR 27ml(44km)

A day ride out of Rocamadour. Explore the sinkhole at the Gouffre de Padirac and take a boat-ride on the underground river. Cycle into the countryside visiting villages such as Loubressac, Carrenac and Autoire. Each different, each equally beautiful.

Day 4. ROCAMADOUR - LA ROQUE GAGEAC 32ml(52km)
Follow the curves of the river down into the Dordogne Valley. Look-out for Chateau Fenelon and Chateau Montfort as you cycle through spectacular scenery. Visit the hilltop village of Domme. The views from this bastide village are breathtaking.

Day 5. LA ROQUE GAGEAC CIRCULAR TOUR 20ml(32km)
Decisions, decisions, decisions! A day ride to explore the “grand sights” of the Dordogne Valley. Is it the beautifully preserved town of Sarlat with its winding streets and beautiful buildings? Will it be Beynac or Castelnaud The opposing chateau during the Hundred Years War? Could it be the gardens at Marqueyssac or Josephine Baker’s Chateau Les Milandes!

Day 6. LA ROQUE GAGEAC - LES EYZIES 22ml(36km)

Leaving the Dordogne valley behind perhaps visit one of the chateaux you didn’t see yesterday making your way towards Les Eyzies. Ride through the forests of the Perigord and into the Vezere Valley. An area famous for its pre-historic sights. Font de Gaume, Abri du Cap Blanc, La Roque St.Christophe, to name just a few.

Day 7. LES EYZIES - GOURDON 36ml(58km)

Follow river valleys through the green hills of the Bouriane towards your final destination of Gourdon. Pass through picturesque villages such as St.Cyprien, St.Pompom and Daglan. Appreciate the wonderful landscape and find time to have a stroll around the lovely town of Gourdon
