Day 1. Arrive PASSAU:
Individual arrival in Passau, check in at your hotel and receive your travel documents. Come to our service centre where you will receive your cycles and route briefing. If you arrive later than 6pm your cycles and travel documents will be waiting for you at your hotel. Take the opportunity for sightseeing in this town and visit its old town walls, gates and towers.

Day 2. PASSAU - SCHLOGENER SCHLINGE 37ml(60km)
Start the first cycling route through the Upper Danube Valley to Schlögen. In Engelhartszell,
you can visit the one and only “Trappist“ monastery in Austria and you can even sample some delicious liqueurs straight from the convent. Continue the journey to the impressive “Schlögener Loop”, where the river makes a complete 180-degrees turn.


Day 3. SCHLOGENER SCHLINGE - LINZ
37ml(60km)

You continue your trip through the fruitful region 'Eferdinger Becken' to Ottensheim and Wilhering where you can visit the beautiful Rococo Church. Todays destination is Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. You have enough time for a stroll through this enchanting old town with its many interesting sights.

Day 4. LINZ - GREIN/
BAD KREUZEN 37ml(60km)
You leave Linz and cycling to Enns, the oldest town of Austria to Wallsee. Continuing via Ardagger you reach the beautiful old bargee town of Grein. This is the start of the Strudengau. You can visit the castle, the oldest municipal theatre still open and the maritime museum.


Day 5. GREIN/
BAD KREUZEN - WACHAU 37ml(60km)
Today you will cycle through the high wooded and beautiful regions of Strudengau and Nibelungengau. On route high over the Danube stands the pilgrimage church of Maria Taferl. Perhaps stop and enjoy a break at the baroque monastery of Melk. Our destination today is the Wachau region, famous for it's wine growing. Why not taste some of the local wines at one of the local 'Heurigen'


DurnsteinDay 6. WACHAU - TULLN 37ml(60km)

You pass through some of the traditional small villages of the Wachau to reach the best known town of this area - Durnstein, where Richard the Lion Heart was once taken captive. Soon you will arrive in Krems, the end of the Wachau. There you cross the Danube and ride on to Traismauer or Tulln.


Day 7.
TULLN - VIENNA 25ml(40km)
Today you ride the last part of this journey to Vienna, the capital of Austria. Before reaching Vienna you will see numerous garden and the well known Augustinian canon convent, Klosterneuburg. The bike-path ends
only a few minutes away from the cathedral of St. Stephans, the landmark of Vienna.


Day 8. Depart VIENNA. train back to PASSAU
