DAY 1: Arrive DALMALLY: visit the ruined Kilchurn Castle nearby. Evening: collect cycles and route briefing.

 

Mull Ferry at Oban DAY 2.  DALMALLY - SALEN(MULL)       30ml(49km)
Cycle through the Pass of Brander perhaps visit Inishail  Chapel or Cruachan Power Station before continuing to Taynuilt. Through scenic Glen Lonan to Oban and the ferry to Mull. Mull Ferry >>>

 

DAY 3. SALEN - TOBERMORY             10/18/33ml(16/29/53km
A choice of routes for today. Perhaps enjoy a leisurely day in Tobermory after a short ride on the main road from Salen, a slightly longer journey goes through the forest of Aros or for the energetic a special reward of mountain and sea views as they circle the west and north coasts by Ulva and Dervaig.

 

DAY 4. TOBERMORY - STRONTIAN         31ml(50km)
Take the ferry to the village of Kilchoan on the Arnamurchan Peninsula and turn east along the north side of Loch Sunart through Glenborrodale to Salen. From Salen continue on to Strontian to complete a strenuous day's cycling rewarded with some magnificent views.                                             Tobermory>>>>

 

Ardnamurchan CoastDAY 5.  STRONTIAN - FORT WILLIAM                 22ml(35km)
Through Glen Tarbet to Inversanda and north to Corran on Loch Linnhe. The small passenger ferry at Camnusnagaul takes you and your bike across the loch to Fort William. DAY 6.  FORT WILLIAM - ISLE OF LISMORE      30ml(49km)
More ferry crossings today, first to Camnusnagaul, then back across Loch Linnhe to Corran and lastly from Port Appin to the island of Lismore. This pretty but sparsely populated island is home to a farming community and was an important religious centre from the sixth to the fifteenth centuries. A visit to the Old Schoolhouse, home of the Island’s Historical Society will enable you to find out more about its history.
