OUR
SERVICES
We
supply all you need to enjoy your holiday in Scotland from the hospitality
of our selected Bed and Breakfast hosts to the quality cycle ready
for you on your first day.Usually you will be met at your the first
night accommodation where we will discuss the route, adjust your
cycle and answer any questions.
CYCLES (Scotland Only):
cycle hire is included in the tour price with the exeption of mountain
bike tours. Our quality hybrid and trekking cycles have 24 gears
and are fully serviced before each departure.Children will be supplied
with a cycle to suit their age and height. We also include rear panniers,
helmets, lock, tool kit, map holder, water bottle and cycle computer. An emergency breakdown
service is available. Clients may request toe clips and your own
pedals and saddles will be fitted if possible. Cycle hire and equipment is also included in the European tours, please view the individual itinerary pages on each tour for bicycle information.
Own Cycles: please feel free to bring
your own cycle, a reduction of £40 per week is available provided
we are notified at the time of booking.
CYCLE HIRE outwith tours: 21/24 speed Hybrid cycles,
Trekking Bikes, Mountain Bikes, childrens bikes and child trailers
are available for hire including the equipment listed
above.
Prices: for Hybrid and trekking cycles, £65 per week, £95
for up to two weeks and £125 for up to three weeks. Mountain Bikes are £130 per week.
PICK-DROP OFF SERVICE
A pick up/drop off service can be available: collect your bike at
a convenient location and drop it off when you are finished. Current
locations are Blairgowrie, Perth, Dundee, Inverness, Oban, Dalmally Advance
booking is essential for all bike hire.

ACCOMMODATION:
the accommodation provided is either in Scottish Tourist Board graded
B&B establishments or in accommodation inspected by ourselves.
For the most part we use guest houses, farmhouses or private houses:
the emphasis is on a friendly welcome, good quality facilities and
a hearty breakfast. Prices are based on two persons sharing a twin/double
room. Single Bookings are welcome but will normally incur a supplement
to cover any increased room rates. Family rooms consisting of one
double and one single bed or one double bed and 2 single beds will be provided if available. Private facilities can be provided
at most locations. For prices of other grades of accommodation including
Hotels and Budget Hostels please enquire at our office. Evening
meals are available at some B&Bs or are readily available nearby.
We will advise when prior booking is necessary.
LUGGAGE
CARRYING: a luggage carrying service is available on our tours.The
price (see Tariff) varies with the distance
and complexity of the route. It is per person, based on a party of
two and will be more for one person and less for three or
four. Excess luggage can be left with ourselves to be collected
at the end of the tour.
HOLIDAY
START: you can start your holiday on any day of the week except
for a small number of tours. We will be happy to advise on your
travel arrangments to the tour departure point.
CHILDREN:
children are welcome to accompany adults on the less strenuous tours.
We suggest a minimum age of 11 years but it will depend on the individual's
cycling experience. Reductions are available for children under
12yrs who share their parents room.

TOUR
ROUTES: these are chosen and surveyed by ourselves. They follow
minor roads, cycle paths or forest trails allowing ample time for
pauses to visit places of interest. You will receive a printed
detailed route description and a Tourist Map of the region on which
the route is marked. This also has details of places of interest
and your tour pack includes numerous brochures. Bicycle reservations
and tickets are supplied for trains where necessary but the cost
of the train fare is not included in the tour price. You require
to purchase your own passenger tickets for ferries. We regret that
we do not supply printed routes except as part of a holiday package
or with cycle hire but are happy to advise on the numerous books
available.
TRANSFERS:
an Airport/rail/bus collection service can be arranged. This can be
very competitive for groups (up to four per car) and recommended if
you are bringing your own bike to Edinburgh or Glasgow Airports. If
you require any advice regarding the journey to the tour start please
do not hesitate to contact us. Other sources of information are

CURRENCY:
the pound sterling is the currency in Scotland. English or Scottish
bank notes are accepted and cash may be obtained from the widely
available ATMs. Credit cards are accepted for most transactions but
not for the payment of accommodation in small B&Bs, small shops
and cafes. For your tour we accept payment in GBP Sterling. Credit card (Mastercard,Visa) and international Maestro/debit card payments are accepted with a 1.5% additional fee to offset bank charges. UK debit cards, no additional fee.
OTHER
SERVICES:
From arranging train reservations or a hire car at the end of your
cycle tour to a yachting trip around the wonderful Hebridean Islands
we can usually find the exact event to complete a memorable Scottish
vacation. Walking, guided and self-guided, canoeing, bird watching,
fishing, painting, photography, riding & pony trekking, motor
bikes or scooters, whale & dolphin watching, scuba diving, natural
history, golf, four x four driving---the list is endless: just contact
us with your request and we will do the rest!!
