Orkney has the greatest density of ancient monuments of any location
in Northern Europe. You visit will give you the opportunity to explore
them and also enjoy the lush green rolling landscape and beautiful
sea views. The
abundant wildlife includes otters, common and grey seals, puffins,
lapwings, grouse and artic tern. A short sea crossing takes you
from John o'Groats to Burwick on South Ronaldsay and from there
your Orkney adventure leads you over the Churchill Barriers, past
the beautiful Italian Chapel, around the north coast of the East
Mainland to Kirkwall. Stop on the way to visit Sheila Fleet's Jewellery
Workshop near Tankerness. From Kirkwall you cycle along the south
coast past the Hobbister Bird Reserve and Orphir to Stenness.Skara
Brae, the magnificent prehistoric village, is perhaps the most famous
of all the Orkney ancient monuments and from there you travel north
to Birsay to visit the Brough of Birsay, the small museum, ruined
Romanesque Church and Bishop's Palace. The new Northlink ferry from
Stromness returns you to Scrabster past "The Old Man of Hoy"
as he stands guard over the Pentland Firth. Itinerary

EXPLORER 7
Nights/8 Days 
A
slightly shorter trip than the Orkney Heritage tour but this itinerary
still provides an oportunity to visit Orkney's main historical sites
together with a visit to
the island of Hoy and its spectacular rock stack, "The Old
Man of Hoy". Visit the chambered tomb, Maes Howe, the Ring
of Brodgar and the Standing Stones of Stenness before making a circuit
of the West Mainland to the famous Neolithic site of Skara Brae
and the village of Birsay. On the return journey to Kirkwall take
the opportunity to visit the fertile island of Rousay and its explore
its rich archaelogical heritage. Itinerary
OVER
THE SEA TO SKYE 7 Nights/8 Days 
A
scenic train journey from Inverness by lochs and glens takes you
to Skye for six days of exploration of this famous Hebridean Island.
Here you can sail into the heart of the Cuillin Mountains from Elgol,
enjoy the tranquility of the historic Island of Raasay and visit
Dunvegan Castle. Over 200 species of birds have been recorded on
the island, 20-30 pairs of golden eagles are nesting and there are
many divers, greenshanks, golden plovers and other moorland birds.
Seals and otters are common in the coastal waters.This tour introduces
you to the delights of an island that constantly changes and never

ENCHANTED ISLES OF MULL AND IONA 7 Nights/8 Days
Sail
from Oban to the beautiful island of Mull and enjoy the unspoilt
charm of its
coastal and mountain scenery. Perhaps visit the holy Isle of Iona,
sail to the majestic Fingal's Cave on Staffa or enjoy a wildlife
safari. The Island's pretty capital Tobermory, set in a sheltered
bay, is popular with visiting yachtsmen and provides the ferry link
to the rugged Ardnamurchan Peninsula. Cross to Kilchoan to explore
the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the most westerly part of the British
mainland. Return along the shores of the Sound of Mull and take

ISLAND
HOPPING ISLAY, JURA & COLONSAY, 10 Nights/11 Days
Take a magical journey from the small west highland village of Dalmally,
along the shore of beautiful Loch Awe to Kilmartin. Over 5,000 years
of human history are traced across the Kilmartin Valley with at
least 150 prehistoric sites lying within 6 miles of the quiet village.
Catch the ferry at Kennacraig to Islay and Jura. Although these
islands are close together and linked by a small ferry, they are
totally different in character. Islay was the ancestral seat of
the Lords of the Isles, who called Islay "the Jewel of the
Hebrides", because of its extraordinary greenness and fertility.
Jura - Deer Island, is rugged, wild, and mountainous, with remote
moorland and the famous whirlpool of Corrievreckan to the north.
Colonsay, a naturalist's paradise, has beautiful golden sandy beaches
and crystal clear waters, safe for bathing. Return to the mainland
on an unforgettable evening sail through the Firth of Lorne to Oban.
Complete you memorable cycle tour through scenic Glen Lonan to Taynuilt
