A scenic train journey from Inverness by lochs and glens takes you to Skye for six days of exploration of this famous Hebridean Island. Here you can sail into the heart of the Cuillin Mountains from Elgol, enjoy the tranquility of the historic Island of Raasay and visit Dunvegan Castle. Over 200 species of birds have been recorded on the island, 20-30 pairs of golden eagles are nesting and there are many divers, greenshanks, golden plovers and other moorland birds. Seals and otters are common in the coastal waters. This tour introduces you to the delights of an island that constantly changes and never fails to surprise.
